It’s no secret that more recently, Victoria Beckham prefers to wear her nails long. Already this year she’s served up “strawberry spring nails ” and her “matte milk manicure” in a long nail shape, whether it be almond-shaped or square. Now, however, she has graduated toward a shape that was last popular in the ’90s, but has been enjoying a comeback. The shape in question, stiletto nails, sees an extremely long nail shape with tapered, straight ends and gently rounded sides. They are named after the pointed spike at the bottom of a high heel.
Often, we’ve seen Victoria combine this with a light, almost white rosé nail polish (for anyone who missed it: the colour is one of THE nail polish trends this summer), which has the ultimate shine and a milky finish.
If you want to wear long, extreme nails like Victoria, the first step is usually nail extensions. After all, the nails should be stable and not break despite the narrow, tapered ends. Gel or acrylic are best suited for this. But even if you manage to grow long nails, you can shape them with a file and style them with normal nail polish in white-pink and a gel top coat just like VB. Previously, Victoria partnered up with Nails Inc on two bespoke nail shades – one an orange-red called Judo Red and the other a milky pink called Bamboo White, but now she heads up her own beauty brand, we can’t wait to see Victoria launch own shades. Suggestions for the colour: everything subtle, from white to beige to rosé.
